Forest or Trees 24" x 36" Acrylic on Canvas It was somewhere in Colorado back in the 70s when I first saw Aspen trees. I had friends that took me to a valley way out off of Gold Camp Road south of Colorado Springs. The valley was wide but not all that deep with a large open meadow between the mountains on either side. The mountains were just tall enough to shade the west side of the valley after about three o'clock in the afternoon and to shade the east side untill about eleven o'clock in the morning. There was a patch of Aspen trees with a brook that ran through it right in the center of the valley floor. We would hand fish for trout in the stream.
