Field of Susans 14" x 14" Acrylic on Canvas Every spring the fields around my home are filled with Black-eyed Susans, Indian Paintbrush, and Bluebonnets. I stopped and took a photo, I often stop and take photos, and this one became a painting. I never know which scenes or photos will grab my attention later but I've learned not to question my instinct to capture an image. It's a little overwhelming sometime when I realize this moment will only happen this once in all of eternity, and I'm here to witnesss all of its beauty. I am truly humbled.
