I have a long history with
Arkansas. My father worked for Arkla Gas and when I was 6
or 7 we went to a company retreat called Arkla Village
near Prescot.
When I was 17 I helped a couple of run away girls get out
of town. We spent part of a frigid night hitch hiking
through Arkansas until a stranger gave us a ride and put
us up for the night in Stamps.
I attended the first Ozark Mountain Folk Fair near Eureka
Springs in the 70s.
I married a girl from near Little Rock and my long lost
half sister lives near Greer's Ferry. I also managed a
hair salon at MM Cohn in North Little Rock ...
Deep ties and no connection other than I think parts of
the state are beautiful.
