On one of my trips to Taos I turned off of the main highway near Mora and drove a bit down a side road. I stopped and took a short walk through the woods taking photos of the landscape. There had been a big fire a few seasons earlier but some of the vegetation was starting to grow back. Then I came upon this weird tree that had been partially burned but it had a peculiar blue tint to it.
