I worked as a waiter at a restaurant while I was attending school. This young woman worked the front of the store trying to keep people happy until they were seated. It was a thankless job but I came to appreciate the skill required and an admiration for her ability.

I don't remember her name but this was drawn sometime in 1975 or 76 at the Spaghetti Factory in Shreve Square, Shreveport, Louisiana ...
